Well the rumor mill is on full tilt and slinging out the confusing crap that always shows up when real news is getting thin and this time it involves our beloved Halo, so i was reading up on the topic and found this little post on variety.com that claims while the rumor could hold true there is no real fact to support it.
Here is the full variety.com report: By now you may have seen the rumor from Official Xbox Magazine (described on Joystiq here) that Gearbox Software (developer of "Brothers in Arms," the upcoming "Aliens: Colonial Marines"" is making the next big "Halo" game and doing it for Microsoft's follow-up to the Xbox 360.
I checked with a source I have who is close to Gearbox and the best info I can confirm is that Gearbox has definitely had conversations with Microsoft about doing a new "Halo" game and is very excited at the prospect. However, last my source heard, there was no deal in place. So as far as I can tell, it's quite possible Gearbox will be doing "Halo 4," (or whatever they end up calling it), but it's not a certainty yet.

I know this has nothing to do with the xbox or the 360 but once you have read it I'm sure you will see why i not only loved it but why i had to post it for the HQ to check out, now i hit 31 today and in that time i have seen a bunch of crazy $**t but what i found in this G4TV news post takes the cake this week.
 G4 reports: Oh boy. As if having an internet boyfriend wasn't embarrassing enough, a North Carolina woman is facing attempted kidnapping charges for driving to Delaware and trying to take her former Second Life companion at gunpoint.
Kimberly Jernigan met her internet significant other in person a few months ago, after which the "victim" in this situation ended their relationship. Apparently, this sent poor Jernigan into a downward spiral, and after her first kidnapping at gunpoint attempt was laughed at, she posed as a US Postal worker to get his new address, broke into his home, bound and gagged his dog in the bathroom, and greeted him at the front door with a laser-sighted BB gun. I'm so not kidding.
After seeing the red dot appear on his chest when he walked inside, the victim immediately fled and called the police. His dog was unharmed, and the cops picked up Jernigan on the freeway sometime later. She is currently facing charges of attempted kidnapping, burglary, and aggravated menacing. So. Awesome.

DLC, I can't wait for the game much less the DLC:
In a recent X08 interview with Cliff Bleszinski, our Joystiq compadres learned some information regarding Gears of War 2's planned downloadable content. Most importantly, that it's currently in the works and will ship "very soon within' the [Gears of War 2] launch timeframe."
Mr. Bleszinski confirmed that the Gears 2 DLC will be "multiplayer map focused" and will make its release within the magical Gears 2 release window timeframe. As far as pricing goes, Epic isn't saying much, which is totally understandable seeing the controversy surrounding the original Gears DLC was probably a giant headache to deal with. Gears 2 DLC is being worked on and confirmed for release within the launch timeframe. Huzzah!

I hope it's going to be worth the price
Last night on the Warzone, Weapon X gave us the skinny on the GTAIV DLC. Here are the things he mentioned:
1. GTAIV DLC will arrive in late October or Early November
2. The DLC will be more like an expansion pack
3. It’s rumored to cost 1600 MS points and will be very large
None of this is confirmed yet but Weapon X has some very good sources. Stay tuned for more info on this in the coming weeks.

In an news post on kotaku.com we get all the down low on what all updates Team Fortress 2 will get and it sounds like its going to be all the same things that Steam fans have already been enjoying, the full range of details can be found here in this report so happy reading.
The report is as follows: Owners of the Xbox 360 version of Team Fortress 2 will be scarfing down sandviches and delivering payloads later this year, as Valve is finally bringing all the updates delivered via Steam to the Xbox Live Marketplace. That means new, class-specific Achievements, new unlockable weapons for the Pyro, Medic and Heavy, new gameplay modes and new maps, all on your Xbox 360.
Valve marketing director Doug Lombardi got that piece of business out of the way just before our latest Left 4 Dead demo, saying that the developer wanted to build up a massive update for Xbox 360 users before delivering. Given that Valve is being forced to charge for the update, they wanted to ensure that 360 owners were getting their money's worth.
So, how much? The price isn't final, but Valve is hoping to go as low as possible, aiming for a ten dollar price tag. Not too shabby. Sorry, PS3 owners, no word on when or if Valve will be giving you the same Team Fortress 2 updates.

In an interview with Cliff Bleszinski Joystiq was able to find out a little bit on the co-op and the achievements of this game and what we are in store for, the way this interview reads it sounds like the Gears of War 2 fans are in for a long battle if they want the full 1000 GS in this one.
The interview with Joystiq looked like this:

"The thing about a campaign is, when you start getting over two players - it's cool to have that, but - the narrative quality decreases exponentially with more players. Once you get a third or a fourth player in there then you're in the middle of fighting a bad guy and somebody's triggering a cutscene and people are flapping their gums and nobody knows what's going on with the story. Whereas if you keep it two-players, keep it focused, grab a buddy and go through the blockbuster experience and then grab five players and fight against the Locust. That's how we're doing it."
Cliff on achievements
"You can chip away at achievements (in Gears of War 2) essentially in every, single mode. So, if you're playing by yourself you can start chipping away at the Seriously 2.0 achievement. If you're playing in co-op, if you're playing in ranked or private matches ... all of it. Everything counts towards achievements this time around. We wanted to be a lot more forgiving with it. The nicest thing is we have a little achievement tracker that pops up in the bottom right occasionally so it's our way of just letting you know, "Hey, we're paying attention!" If you curb-stomp a guy we say, "Oh, you know if you do 10 more of those you might start getting towards an achievement. Kind of adds that kind of, psuedo-RPG grind element in the background."

In a report by xboxlive.ign.com we got the word that all the Banjo-Kazooie fans will want to read and that you get free stuff just for a pre-order and you know you cant beat that, in the following post you should find all the info you need to get the ball rolling and you don't need to worry we will stand by your fib when you tell every one its for your kid.
 The post reads as follows here: Microsoft is looking to make sure there is no reason you don't pick up Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts this fall. The game is due out November 14 and Microsoft has announced a preorder deal that begins today. Drop a few bones to reserve a copy and you'll get a free download code for the original Banjo-Kazooie game, releasing on Xbox Live Arcade this year.
The Banjo-Kazooie XBLA port won't release until a couple weeks after Nuts & Bolts, but those who preorder the game will be able to get the Live Arcade title two weeks earlier than the rest of the world.
And if that isn't enough to entice you, Microsoft has also announced that Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts will have a suggested retail price of $39.99.
